What is Hometap?

Hometap is a fintech startup that empowers homeowners to achieve financial independence by accessing the equity in their homes.

OVERVIEW

During my time at Hometap, I collaborated closely with the Senior Visual Designer to refine and elevate a welcoming and trustworthy brand for this innovative business model. Our efforts helped Hometap achieve an impressive Brand Sentiment Score of 99% by focusing on delivering an exceptional brand experience.

As a visual designer co-op, I played a key role in developing and executing comprehensive brand guidelines, ad campaigns, social media content, promotional videos, email audits, company merchandise, and event collateral.

We transitioned into strategizing, starting with mood boards to refine our visual approach. Building on this foundation, we formally developed the design strategy, which became the backbone of our work moving forward. Key updates to the existing guidelines included refreshing the color palette and introducing the Mabry Pro typeface.
